Those looking to have a laid-back paddle and introduction to canoeing, join us on a paddle through an inland lake surrounded by the stunning Superior National Forest. We’ll show you the paddling basics and teach you about the surrounding area’s history and ecology.
Bring shoes that you don’t mind getting wet (NO SLIP ON SHOES e.g. flip flops, crocs, etc.), Sunscreen, Bug Spray or Bug Head Net, Plenty of Water and snacks, something to keep your phone dry, weather-appropriate clothing (bring a rain jacket just in case and remember the temperature is typically 5-10 degrees warmer as you go inland from Lake Superior), and an extra change of clothes or a towel to leave in the vehicle.
Expect to get your feet wet – there may be a short portage! If you’re riding with us to the location, we ask that you wear a mask in the vehicle at all times. For your safety in the event of inclement weather (defined as waves more than 2 feet, constant wind exceeding 15mph, and/or thunder and lightning) the tour will be canceled and payment will be refunded.
