Odyssey Resorts Helps Build North Shore Affordable Housing

$50,000 Contribution to One Roof Community Housing

Odyssey Resorts is lucky to call the North Shore home. That’s why we believe in making the area affordable for the people who live and work in the area.

Odyssey with its employees contributed $50,000 to One Roof Community Housing in an effort to provide affordable housing. This is one of the many actions we at Odyssey Resorts have taken to facilitate positive change. Fostering economic prosperity and alleviating housing insecurity throughout the North Shore region are two priorities we deeply believe. We are striving to broaden the concept of hospitality beyond our resort destinations, to create a welcoming atmosphere for the entire community.

“Social responsibility is a core tenet held by Odyssey Resorts and its employees,” said CEO Bob Ryan. “This partnership with One Roof directly benefits the communities and areas we love by assisting affordable housing efforts near our resort properties. One Roof is a tremendous organization and we were honored to be a small part in constructing their 285th home in the Northland.”

Funding from Odyssey Resorts helped One Roof Community Housing secure an additional $720,000 from the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency. This money was used to renovate two One Roof homes.

To celebrate this achievement, One Roof Housing hosted an open house for the community and Odyssey employees at one of the renovated homes in the Duluth area. A special thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the event such a success.
