Why LOG CHUTE is the best run: All of Mystery great for Boarders and skiers alike. Nobody around with plenty of fresh powder made for some great riding.

Pro-tip for visitors: Snow is expected for the upcoming weekend they are currently predicting between 3-10 inches so fingers crossed.

We are expecting high winds for Friday - Sunday reaching up to 30mph and 45mph guests expected. Remember to dress in layer and to limit your exposer time so take breaks when needed.

Ski Hill operation hours: Friday 9:30-4:30pm Saturday/Sunday 9-4:30pm

We can print off pre-purchased lift tickets with signed waivers at the Front desk at Caribou Highlands. Tickets that we can't print off include: Indy/Bubby/MN Industry and 4th Grade.

Remember every is here with their friends and families enjoying a great ski get away. Be kind and courteous to other visitors well enjoying the hill. Additionally be respectful/patient with the workers on the hill they are here making sure you have an enjoyable time.

Condition: Packed Powder - Best Run: CARIBOU CURVE

Why CARIBOU CURVE is the best run: Many of the runs over the entire mountain were amazing. I really enjoyed "Caribou Curve" because it felt like I was the only one on the run. More people were focused on "Upper Caribou/Upper Cascade when getting off the Caribou Express Lift.

Pro-tip for visitors: We have received about 10 inches of fresh snow since Sunday Feb. 26th. More snow projected over the next few days should make for a great weekend ahead for riding.

We can assist our guests with printing off "pre-purchased lift tickets" make sure to sign your wavier ahead of time to speed up the process.
Side Note: we cannot print off (Indy/Buddy/MN Industry and 4 Grade passes).

Weekends up here get very busy on the mountain with skiers and snowboarders so remember to be kind to your fellow winter enthusiasts. Be careful when skiing across run to run and stop at every intersection before cutting people who are flying down the hills. Last thing you want is to take a ride in an ambulance. Additionally some of the tree runs have gotten icier with the warmer weather as of late.

Checkout other local venues for end of the day fun like: Northshore Winery and Papa Charlies for snacks and live music. Check the Visit Cook County for more info about the time and location that musicians will be playing.

Condition: Powder (Pow) - Best Run: WHITE WOLF

Why WHITE WOLF is the best run: White Wolf is great it's an off-the-side run not many people find it until mid-morning to mid-afternoon. I had three runs of powder before another person went down. However, riding has been great no matter which runs you choose to ride.

Pro-tip for visitors: Prepare for some colder temps starting Thursday - Sunday, mainly due to the wind guests, so dress in layers and plan accordingly. Remember, this could potentially change in the coming days. More snow is predicted leading into the weekend, which should create some great conditions for skiers or snowboarders.

Remember to be aware of your surrounding when being on the hill, especially on the crossover runs (Cross Cut, Marks Run, Meadows Access, and Lodge Run).

Lutsen Mountains is expecting to have all 87/95 runs open, so plenty of space to roam and have some run. Remember, everyone is out here for a fun-filled weekend with family and friends, so be patient and just ride.

Why UPPER CASCADES is the best run: Its really hard to pick just one run as the best especially since it takes multiple run to get to the base. Just remember to enjoy your time on the hill and find your favorite/best run of the day. Create your own adventure.

Pro-tip for visitors: It is very beneficial to remember to pick up your lift tickets the day before and rentals if needed. The rental shop is occasionally open later on the weekends check hours at the Lutsen Mountains Website.

Caribou Highlands can print off lift tickets for guests at the front desk that have been pre-purchased and waivers signed.
Passes that we "can not" print include: Indy/Buddy/4th Grade/MN Industry. Thank you for your understanding.

Remember to be patient/courteous to your fellow ski hill enthusiasts. Please remember to give everyone enough space on the hill to avoid any unwanted accidents or injuries. Everyone is here to enjoy themselves and have a fun filled trip with their friends and family. Additionally, remember that all staff members here and in the surrounding properties are doing everything in their power to make sure your trip is spectacular. So please be patient and courteous with them also and enjoy your time on the hill.
